She practiced dentistry in Iran for four years before moving to Canada. In 2008, she completed her International Dentist degree program at the University of Toronto. Dr. Rakhshanfar went through the recertification process and graduated on the Dean’s Honour’s list. She also completed her Implant Residency at the University of Toronto. Dr. Rakhshanfar received the Dental Alumni Certificate for recognition of significant involvement and contributions to extra-curricular activities with the Faculty of Dentistry. In addition to her membership to the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, she is licensed to practice dentistry in the United States and Tehran. Dr. Rakshhanfar is currently a member of the Canadian and Ontario Dental Associations, as well as The Academy of General Dentistry. She is also a member of The Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, and the York Region Dental Society. Dr. Rakhshanfar is committed to providing the best and most current dental care for her patients. She completed multiple continuing education courses and is currently holding certifications in implant surgery and bone grafting, IV and oral sedation, gum grafting and CT scan. Following her belief in giving back to the community, she has been teaching as a clinical instructor at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. Dr. Rakhshanfar’s passion for Dentistry is apparent in the time she has dedicated to advanced continuing education, so she can provide the best for her patients. She has particular interests in Oral Surgery, Endodontics (root canal treatment) and Cosmetic Dentistry including Implants, and holds certification in Conscious Sedation Modalities (Nitrous Oxide, Oral Sedation), Invisalign (Invisible Braces), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, and Basic Cardiac Life support. She is a certified Invisalign provider and was recognized as a preferred provider by Align Technology. She is passionate about Esthetic Dentistry, Implant Dentistry and Gum Grafting surgery procedures. She truly enjoys Family Dentistry and working on pediatric patients. When Dr. Rakshanfar is not at the office caring for her patients, she is at home caring for her beautiful twin boys. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, theatre, hockey, skiing, dancing, fitness and exercise, as well as playing soccer. She was a competitive soccer player and is still able to take pleasure in the sport by sponsoring local soccer competitors from the Richmond Hill area. Above all, when not in the dental clinic, she cherishes the time she gets to spend with her family.
